As part of the charity program to be delivered in Vietnam, the first Catherine Tran Bridge of Love was completed and officially put in operation on January 18, 2010 at Xã Khánh Hòa – U Minh – Cà Mau – Việt Nam – right at the farthest southern part of our beloved Vietnam. The bridge was built to provide a means of transportation of hundreds of school childrens of nearby schools so that they don’t have to swim across the rivers or using the boat to transport across the river any more, Dimenstion of this bridge is 1.6 m wide and 25 m long. Along with the bridge construction project, Catherine Tran Charity Fund also sponsored the building of five clean water wells in the same rural area to provide clean water for the poor families and children in Khanh Hoa, U Minh, Ca Mau, Vietnam. The Foundation also provided 20 bicycles and 200 hats, 50 T shirt, and school supplies to needy students in the same schools during the Opening Ceremony of the Catherine Tran Bridge of Love. We would like to sincerely thank Ms. Viet Ly Bui and her local team who has provided us with the necessary support to be able to finish this construction project before the Lunar New Year so that the children will be able to celebrate Tet with this new bridge and new wells. Mr. & Mrs. Tuan Si Tran, Catherine’s uncle and aunt were also present at the Opening Ceremony of the Catherine Tran Bridge of Love.
