My dearest sister
As her sister, I am devastated to hear what had happened throughout this past days. I am in disbelief and I feel like there is something missing in my heart, but I must stay strong to make Catherine happy. We may not be able to see her now, but she is with us every moment of the day. To keep her spirit strong, I will fulfill things that she has dreamed to do. I will do certain things that Catherine had wanted to accomplish but did not have the chance to accomplish. I will do things that she had dreamed to do and I will explore places that she had wanted to explore. I will make sure she will not be forgotten for she is my sister, and the only one that can be my sister. No one can and will replace her. She was a wonderful students, friend, daughter, and sister. She will be loved forever and always. May you rest in peace- Catherine Tran

I met you at your sister’s funeral and I was touched by your courage and strength. You cried much that day…but it was through your smiles and comforting hugs to your friends, despite it all, that moved me greatly. Such dignity possessed by someone so young…your sister is proud of you.
I know that your beloved sister is smiling down on you, dear Elizabeth…..she is happy that you had stayed strong so…keep smiling and go forth to fulfill all your dreams, your big sister is right behind you every step of the way.
